2nd Grade Community Service
American Red Cross

Second Grade is partnered with the American Red Cross.  Throughout the year, Second Grade works with the Red Cross helping whenever they can. 

The students write letters to the military men and women, put together "Comfort Kits", coordinate and host a blood drive each year at Union Academy, and do other projects that help the Red Cross during the year.

The students will visit the American Red Cross Office and the Armory.  They will have an opportunity to see everyday operations at the Red Cross, and will be able to see military equipment as they tour the facility.
