Lunch Program

Union Academy does not currently have a traditional cafeteria.  The school provides catered lunch from a different vendor each day.  The menu is set up on an a la carte format, enabling you to order as much or as little as you need, and it will stay basically the same each week.  Some items are available on a daily basis, such as chips, drinks, and ice cream.  These items can be purchased through the order form each month or on a cash basis during your child’s lunch period.

If you are able to volunteer during the hours of 10:45am - 1:15pm, or any part of that time to help serve the meals, please contact Karen Little for the Lower School at 704-283-5678 and Kathy Doublin for the Upper School at 704-238-8883 or 704-233-4143.  This would be a great way to get in your volunteer hours!

If your child is attending the field trip, DO NOT order lunch on the dates noted above.  Money will not be refunded.  If you place an order on a scheduled field trip day, then you are responsible to either pick up that lunch or give it away.

Catered Lunch On-Line Ordering Overview

  • Families will use their home computers to order lunches.
  • Each family will have a family account on the system.
  • Families will place an order for each student.
  • Each student’s order can be different.
  • When placing your child’s lunch order, it is important to note any field trips.  If you place an order on a scheduled field trip day, then you are responsible to either pick up that lunch or give it away.
  • The on-line ordering system will tabulate the amount due from each family.
  • Once all orders have been placed for the family, an Order Confirmation will display.
  • The Order Confirmation is to be printed (on your computer’s printer).
  • Send the Order Confirmation along with a check for the amount due back to school.
  • Orders and payments must be received by the school prior to the cut-off date.
  • Each ordering period will have it’s own order cut-off date – which will be announced monthly.
